Tahini Nutrition Benefits

Rich in minerals and vitamins

Tahini is a good source of B vitamins, manganese, phosphorus, protein, and fats.

Rich in fats

Tahini is rich in healthy fats. The main type of fat found in tahini is monounsaturated fatty acids. These have been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties and decreased risk of cardiovascular disease.

Rich in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties

Tahini contains a type of antioxidant called lignans which have been shown to reduce free radical damage and reduce the risk of long-term diseases particularly certain types of cancer and type 2 diabetes.

Tahini also has a compound called sesamin (like the sesame seeds it’s made with!) that has been shown to reduce short-term inflammation.

Tips for Making This Maple Tahini Lemon Drizzle

There are a few tips you should keep in mind that will help you store, add versatility, and enjoy this recipe.

Switch it up

Run out of lemons? Use orange for a spin on this flavor and to keep it interesting.

Store in a glass jar

To keep this for up to 5 days, store it in an air-tight glass container. I like using weck jars or recycled glass jars.

Shake it up before each use

Because it’s being stored in the refrigerator, some separation is common so just shake it before using.

What To Serve With Maple Tahini Lemon Drizzle To Make It Balanced

FAQ About How To Make Maple Tahini Lemon Drizzle:

Can I make this with honey?

Yes, you can use honey instead of maple syrup. If you choose this option, I recommend adding water or extra olive oil to make the honey thinner.
