A delicious greens-based juice with citrus.
You’re all familiar with the Stripped Green Smoothie by now, and if you’re not, what are you waiting for? I share all things green smoothies and why I adore the signature smoothie of Nutrition Stripped. Today I want to focus on drinking something else that’s green, the Stripped Green Juice! Oh yes, get ready for another veggie filled elixir to try out. In my previous post, we discussed all things Juicing 101 so I thought it was perfect timing to introduce you to something else I eat/drink on a weekly basis.
I get it, drinking something green isn’t necessarily the “norm” in our society, but drinking your greens whether in a smoothie or juice has been the buzz for quite some time, especially around New Years, for good reason. Fresh fruit and vegetable juices are nutrient dense in comparison to any breakfast cereal out there, which is a Standard American Diet (SAD) meal in the morning; and they’re loaded with fiber (again something that’s lacking in our SAD diets).
What Is The Stripped Green Juice?
In this green juice, you’ll find some pretty amazing ingredients all are delicious, nourishing, and supportive in helping your body’s natural and ongoing detoxification. Think of juices as being a powerhouse of nutrition in a very small volume. Essentially you’re taking all of the nutrients found in fresh fruits and vegetables and reducing it down to pure liquid.
Let’s take the ingredients in this juice, for example, there are about 15-17 servings of fruits and vegetables reduced to several cups of juice! Of course this is not the same as eating these fruits and vegetables because it’s lacking the fiber, but nonetheless, the nutrients are there.
Stripped Green Juice is a variation on my Stripped Green Smoothie, it incorporates many of the same ingredients I use in the smoothie just in juice form. I also add in some of my favorite flavors and boosts of nutrients in some fruits that I don’t always use in my smoothie recipe.
