Beauty posts! I promise I haven’t forgotten about the beauty series we share on NS, but the survey I shared a couple weeks ago (thanks for the feedback) reminded that you guys want more things on beauty. From routines, products, natural beauty, to things that make you feel good from the inside out.

I feel like I’ve been talking a lot about routines lately and how they can be a catalyst to form habits in self-care, especially for fall when everyone is talking about routines and getting back into the groove. If you need a primer on morning routines check here and night time routines check here! Otherwise, let’s hop right into this Lavender Bedtime Room Spray, which is obvious but it’s for your night time routine!

Here’s the “recipe” for this one you guys, it’s incredibly simple and you need 5 things:

  1. A glass spritzer or bottle with a pump to spray liquid – I like these or these
  2. Vodka – you can make a vodka club while you’re waiting or just use it for this recipe (p.s. just in case you’re wondering if alcohol is healthy)
  3. Lavender essential oil – I love the new line from my sweet friend Elsie and Emma of ABM, called OuiFresh or try these
  4. Filtered water!

Here’s how: using a funnel or a steady hand, pour 1 tablespoon vodka and 15-30 drops of lavender essential oil into the glass bottle. The reason there’s a range here is to use how much you enjoy for both the smell and strength. I prefer the 30 drops! Shake well and then pour in 1/2 cup filtered water and shake again. Shake every use before you spray whenever you need a restful sleep or instant relaxation.

A tip, if you want to make more than 1/2 cup of spray at a time you can simply double and add to a large glass bottle.

If you guys give this a try this weekend, please let me know and share a picture on Instagram so I can see it in action. I hope you have a rejuvenating weekend, we’re spending it with lots of family celebrations happening right now!
