A creamy, savory yet sweet latte made with turmeric, coconut milk, almond milk, and MCT oil or some type of fat like nut butters!

First, there was Turmeric Milk and then Coffee Elevated, now a beautiful merger of the two. This is our spin on the classic Turmeric Milk and the vegan version of a bulletproof coffee. Click here to read about the origin and use of Turmeric Milk.

There are a couple exceptions to the rule when it comes to those who shouldn’t use turmeric in this way (those of you on specific medications, just check with your doctor or dietitian), but for the majority of us, you’re good to go!

We all encounter inflammation or inflammation producing activities in our life whether it’s from the environment, stress, or even exercising. Supporting your immune system isn’t just about food or magic pills and potions, it’s actually more about the context of your diet, movement, stress, sleep, etc. that really support our immune health. Turmeric is one spice of many that has interesting health benefits related to reducing inflammation.

MCT oil or any type of nut butter such as cashew or almond butter is the main ingredient that gives this latte a super creamy and frothy texture. In addition, fat is good for us! Fat helps our bodies absorb fat-soluble vitamins and antioxidants in our diet, keeps us full and satiated, and tastes delicious. Win, win, win!

The ingredients I used to make this:

Ground turmeric, honey, MCT oil, coconut milk, and here are the brands I’d recommend if you do want to use ghee or grass-fed butter.
