A couple of weeks ago, I had the amazing duo behind The Home Edit, Clea and Joanna, in my home organizing and working their magic skills on my kitchen. Their clients include Holly Williams, Tiffani Thiessen, Elsie Larson, Joy from Oh Joy!, Laura Lea Goldberg, and now my humble kitchen. I wanted to share photos of the magic they worked on my kitchen, but I also asked these organizing PROS to share their top tips for organizing any space no matter if it’s a kitchen or not, what supplies you’ll need, and how to do it not getting overwhelmed. Keep reading for their top tips on organizing like a pro!

WHAT ARE YOU TOP 3 TIPS FOR SOMEONE LOOKING TO REORGANIZE A SPACE, NO MATTER WHAT KIND?

1. Edit out anything you no longer use, like, or have in duplicates.
2. Group all of your items into categories so you can see what you have, and assess what product and supplies you need to store all the pieces. It’s easy when your items are packaged in really cute and functional packaging like my fav. nuts and seeds from nuts.com!
3. Add a label! Labels act as a set of instructions to help you find what you need, and guide you on how to maintain the space.

WHAT SUPPLIES OR RESOURCES ARE YOUR GO-TO’S?

1. Stackable bins and jars that allow you to customize your space.
2. Anything acrylic.
3. Sharpie paint pens.
IF YOU COULD NAME 3 THINGS EVERY KITCHEN NEEDS FOR ORGANIZING LIKE A PRO, WHAT WOULD THEY BE?
1. A consistent style of jars – just pick your favorite!
2. Turntables for awkward spaces and tight corners.
3. A 3 tier step for cans or spice jars.
4. Large bins for bulk items.

ORGANIZING CAN BE OVERWHELMING, WHAT’S SOMETHING PEOPLE CAN DO TO START?

Tackle a small space to start. A drawer, a cabinet, a bookshelf, etc. Chipping away at a room slowly will help you make progress without getting too overwhelmed.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE NS RECIPE?!

We can’t cook to save our lives, so we are HUGE fans of NS salad recipes! The Simple French Inspired Lentil Salad is a favorite, and the Warm Quinoa Salad makes a perfect dinner option.

Feeling inspired?

I hope these tips help you feel in control in your kitchen when it comes to organization. Do you have any other top tips for staying organized? Share them in the comments! And if inspiration strikes and you decide to whip your kitchen into shape, share it on Instagram with #nutritionstripped so I can see your work!
