MS, RDN, LDN, Dietitian

Hey guys! I can’t believe I’m about to say this, but NS has been around for about 4 years (this coming January!) and over that time I’ve shared a TON of information on the site for you to use in your daily life to help you feel better and reach your wellness goals. In the next few weeks I’m sharing some posts about parts of NS that you may not know about, starting with…The Resources! Keep reading to find out how to use this tool to live well, eat well, and feel amazing!

I get emails daily about questions with my career, how to start a business, what it’s like to be a dietitian, what resources I like, and so forth. I promise I will answer career oriented questions soon, but in a different platform! So, let’s tackle resources. Through my years in grad school and working 1-1 with clients with all sorts of backgrounds and goals, I’ve developed a pretty extensive list of resources and supportive tools to help you feel your best. Logistics aside, where is The Resources page? You can find it from any page on NS by clicking the left hand menu and clicking “The Resources” on the pop out menu.

What’s it all about?

The Resources page on NS starts with my favorite nutrition and wellness books I’ve read over the years, whether through learning more about the industry and different perspectives or learning the nitty gritty about a certain topic. If you’re looking for more information on a certain topic like plant-based diets or meditation, this is your first stop to find a book on that topic from experts in each field. I don’t endorse 1 book over another or said author, but I’ve learned something from each of those texts and hope you can learn from them, too.

Next up is a detailed nutrient directory for all of my fellow nutrition nerds out there! Need to brush up on how your body uses magnesium or what selenium is for? Curious about what food sources contain vitamin C? Check out the nutrient directory and get to nerdin’ on nutrition.

Mental health and spiritual wellness is just as important to your overall wellbeing as nutrition! I’ve compiled several sites and guides for mindful eating, eating disorder support, and stress management. Plus you can’t forget movin’ that body when you’re talking about overall wellbeing! My favorite personal trainers + online fitness experts are on the Personal Trainers tab. And last but not least are some fun resources for my fellow bloggers out there and a list of my favorite healthy spots in Nashville. If you’re in Nashville, too, and have some to add to the list, please share! I’m always looking to try new spots and would love the recommendations.

To feeling amazing!

My dream is for NS to be a source for all things health and wellness to help you feel amazing. I’ve been at it for 4 years, but plan on continuing to share more and more on NS as I learn and grow in my practice. I truly hope that NS can be a resource to you in helping you find your optimal wellbeing. I’d LOVE to see how you use NS to live whole, so share any recipes, healthy lifestyle, wellness things, etc. that you do with #nutritionstripped so I can see what you’re up to! And if you guys want specific information, how-to’s, workouts, you name it, be sure to share in the comments what you’d like to see more of from NS in the future!
