Obviously, the title says it all and I’m so happy to share this interview I had with Cameron Diaz about her newest book and second edition of The Body Book: Longevity Book. As a Dietitian Nutritionist I’ve been writing for The Body Book blog for years covering nutrition topics, wellness, and recipes with the beautiful supportive community. I adore what Cameron is doing, the message she’s sending, the celebration of femininity, being your own health advocate, and of course, living a long and healthy life! I chatted with Cameron about 5 questions about healthy, wellness, and what Living Whole and Eating Well means to her. You don’t wanna miss this one…

5 ?’s for Cameron Diaz

If you had to pick one meal or one food to only eat for the rest of your life, what would it be?

NOT FAIR! I could never do choose….but a meal of savory protein of some sort with an avocado would be a frontrunner.

Try these NS avocado recipe favorites: Avocado Boats, Dark Chocolate Avocado Mousse, and good ole’ #avocadotoast on GF Walnut Bread

You’re an advocate for healthy living and exercising flexibility when it comes to nutrition and working out; when was a time where you weren’t focused on nourishing your body? How did you overcome that?

Yes, I think we should all subscribe to the same philosophy that you and I share, that every body is different, and we need to listen to our bodies in order to nourish them. When I was younger I didn’t quite understand the equation, because I hadn’t yet collected the information. As soon as I started learning about the concept of being connected to my own body, that all changed. I started listening to people who knew about the science of the body.

Being in the spotlight 24/7 with media pressures and constant comments on body image, what advice do you have for women and young girls nowadays?

Be yourself, and then LOVE YOURSELF FOR WHO YOU ARE.

No. 4

What’s your favorite workout routine?

Again with the favorites! I could never pick a favorite, I need variety, which is so good for us, because that way we are constantly changing our surroundings, our companions, our muscle groups—I like anything that takes me outside and anything that makes me feel strong—I’m a very equal opportunity worker outer.

Give it to us straight, what do you enjoy eating for:

First thing upon waking: water, water, water
Morning, Lunch, Dinner (and even snacks): Basically, every time I eat, I eat lean protein, some carbs and good fats for energy, and something leafy and green for nutrients and fiber—I’m not really a snacker, potentially as a result of getting everything I need at each meal?
Snacks or sweets: I don’t do sweets!
Favorite drink: water or iced white tea

Need guidance on what to eat and when? As a Dietitian Nutritionist, that’s what I do and love helping you. Pick your plan here.

What’s your favorite quote to live by?

I don’t know about a quote, but my motto is Just do the best you can, as often as you can.

I hope you all enjoyed this interview with Cameron and check out her new book here.
