Happy Saturday guys! I hope you’re having a great weekend; we’re keeping it super low key this weekend. I felt a bit under the weather this past week so I’m keeping that in mind and taking extra care with rest, eating well, squeezing in some all green juices from my local fav Franklin Juice, and lots of cuddles with my love and little Luna. Despite being under the weather, I had an amazing week! With the announcement that NS is hiring and growing, I had so many amazing candidates- so thank you! I also was honored to host a table at Conversations at Oz this past week where my table guests and I discussed “wellness: what does it mean to live well?”. It was an amazing night and an incredible organization I’m so happy to get behind and contribute to- there’s nothing more important than strengthening local creatives and the community. You know what’s up though for today, I’m sharing my weekly recap of what articles I’ve been reading in the health and nutrition world and noteworthy news from the week so you can stay up to date, too. And if you see or read anything really cool and interesting around the web, be sure to share with me and comment on this post so we can keep the convo going!

An interview with Krista Tippett (from the podcast On Being) about spirituality – it’s a pillar of the NS Lifestyle and I think we can all use this more than ever these days

Comment of the week

Lilianne said about Is Coffee Unhealthy

Great article. This reading comes up a few months after I cut coffee consumption altogether. I had to travel for work to a place where the coffee was really bad, so I turned to tea not to poison myself 😛 I was not a huge but regular coffee drinker (max 1 or 2 cups per day, mostly espresso style). I started noticing difference, in my digestion mostly. Waaay better. And although I was drinking it mostly for the taste (and morning comfort!) and not for its wakening effect, I think I did started feeling more calm after stopping coffee. I have a sometime high level stress job, and I am by nature someone quite hyper. Bottom line I feel better with only the occasional coffee.
