Happy FRIDAY! I wanted to share the week recap today instead of tomorrow to make room for some exciting news Monday about the Guide to Master Meal Planning! Until then, I hope you’re getting in time to soak in some sunshine and get some fresh air this weekend and maybe meal prep. We’re finally unpacking the last of boxes from our move- it’s been a whirlwind of a week from remodeling the kitchen to moving in at the same time (ambitious much?!) so we’re looking to settle in and relax. On top of that, Sunday will be the first day I’ll batch cook in our new home to prep for the week- did you catch my post earlier this week about why Sunday is the most important day?

Update: Today is also the last day to sign up to get the Healthy Made Simple Series- today’s video is all about how to put it together in a no-excuse gameplan! From simple eating, to saving time, to having a plan sign up here to watch the free video course ending today! Alright, on to it! Here’s the weekly recap of what articles I’ve been reading in the health and nutrition world and noteworthy news from the week so you can stay up to date, too. And if you see or read anything noteworthy from around the web, be sure to share with me and comment on this post, it’s a 2-way street and I literally read all of em’.

What you Should Know in Wellness

  • What 2,000 calories looks like eating out vs. eating at home
  • How meditation helped one person with her gut imbalances
  • Prince Harry shared this week become a mental health advocate after sharing he went to therapy
  • The new trend of “unicorn food” has made its way to Starbucks – I’m not sold on this, it’s the furthest thing from simple food I’ve ever heard of haha!
  • A new report suggest that running may be “contagious” (what do you think?) #workoutbuddy

Did you Know?

1 cup of walnuts contains 8g fiber and 18g protein? Try it in the Simple Vegetarian Meatloaf from this week on the blog. It’s a crowd pleaser and it makes for great leftovers.

Eating whole foods doesn’t mean you have to skip dessert! Try one of my favorite whole food desserts – the Raw Cheesecake Parfait from the Summer edition of the Guide to Master Meal Planning.

Move that Bod!

Try this 9 minute strength training workout (and get inspired by those awesome vids!).

Repeat after Me

“I am whole.”

What to Listen to

Loving Bruno Mars’ new That’s What I Like from the Spring Sweat It Out Playlist!

Comment of the week

Yep and yep. My Sunday cook-aheads are the most important thing I do for my health. I keep that time totally sacred, my friends and family know not to bother trying to get me out of the kitchen Sunday mornings 🙂
