Heck yes! I’m all about flexibility and just because I eat gluten and dairy free, doesn’t mean you have to. Of course! I offer a list of variations, add-in’s and talk about the flexibility of this meal plan within the eBook. You can rest knowing that everything on this meal plan is nutrient dense and loaded with nutrients to keep you feeling great.
No, for the reason that I offer so much flexibility for everyone, there’s no way I could do nutrition information for each variation—but good news is, you can easily enter them into a calorie/nutrition tracking software and figure that out. Be sure you’re focusing on nourishing your body more than counting numbers.
You’re totally set. This is all about being prepared, making your meals ahead of time on your batch cooking day, and finding flexibility in doing so!
They’re all beginners, but even advanced folks like myself can get something out of it. I like sharing mind-body connection exercises. For example, in the Winter 2015 is all about balance with yoga, even for the non-yogis (me!).
When you sign up for the NS Society, you’re getting far more than just meal plans. You’ll get recipes plus ebooks, meal planning tools, and extras for when you need a reset or an 911 meal plan. There are several meal plan services out there that will give you a different recipe for every week, but the goal of the NS Society is to teach you how to meal plan for life! Each season has four rotations plus a swap it list for extra flexibility so that you have the opportunity to become a pro at each rotation. You can reuse meal plans, swap them around, or substitute with the Swap It List or your favorite recipes. If you get bored with the meals, just switch it up!
When I first started batch cooking the first couple of times took me double, just to find my groove but I promise you’ll quickly become a multitasking pro. Nowadays I can do the entire process from shopping –> cooking in under 3 hours. I save ~10 hours a week to do more of the things I love plus no decision fatigue! I’ve done the hard work for you and set you up with shopping lists, batch cooking schedules, and even an example and worksheet showing you how to break down recipes into a batch cooking day to save you the most time.
A bonus of the NS Society is the online community where you can connect with other Society members #IRL. I’ve seen moms share tips for getting picky kids to eat healthy, married members sharing their recipes that are “man” friendly, and even members agreeing to call and check in on each other when they’re feeling overwhelmed and stressed! The community of the Society has really exceeded my expectations, and if you’re afraid that someone in your life might make it hard to implement, you can find support and strategies from the many incredible Society members.
The meal plans are all gluten free, dairy free, and use only whole food ingredients. Some recipes contain eggs and nuts, but you can easily sub for flax eggs and seeds. If you are paleo, many of the recipes have whole grains and legumes instead of meat, but you could easily sub these for meat to fit your diet. Again, the goal is to teach you how to plan meals and batch cook for yourself, so if you have a diet that restricts certain foods, you’ll learn how to make recipes work for you!
